Dr. Douglas Lare and Dr. Greg Cottrell are the cofounders of Learnics. Learnics was founded on the belief that data produced from student research contains extremely valuable information that can be used to improve teaching and learning.
- Doug has been a teacher, coach, administrator, and education professor for over 40 years.
- Greg is currently a high school principal. He has experience as a Technology Education Teacher and Assistant Principal.
Greg's doctoral research, supported by Doug, explored ways students' online activity data could be used to improve education. This research developed his passion for learning analytics and ultimately led to the formation of Learnics.
Beyond the founders, everyone who has been involved with Learnics over the last six years have spent at least part of their careers in the classroom. Learnics truly is "For Teachers, By Teachers".
